the issue
We started with the foundations: shaping the Borbo brand, its visual language, and the website around the collection. As the business grew, so did the collection, and the website needed to grow with it. What started as a simple showcase needed to become a better way to present an expanding range of furniture.
The next step was giving interior architects something many furniture brands lacked: a way to explore complete design sets rather than individual products. The showcase evolved around this idea, making it easier to discover pieces together and giving architects a more useful starting point for their projects. The infrastructure was built to support each new collection without starting over.
the solution
Every page, breakpoint, and component was designed in Figma before development began, giving the growing collection and new design sets a clear structure across desktop and mobile.
The design was then implemented with Blocksy and Gutenberg, using the existing site as a foundation rather than replacing the entire technical setup. The result brings together a flexible furniture showcase, design sets for interior architects, WooCommerce checkout, and an archive of Borbo’s interior architecture work.
I handled the design and implementation, theme configuration, custom development, and the integrations connecting the website to the client’s operations.
